Grey Smoke
Cigar #9 –Light Brown Robusto with delicate wrapper. Few veins running throughout the cigar. Triple cap. There is a large crack in the wrapper about mid cigar. Very little sent at the foot. Smoked on 4/9 at 1pm outside with diet Pepsi . Clipped with scissor without flaking.
Pre-draw had little flavor without spice on the tongue.
Torch lit to produce white ash which held well . Generates a fair amount of smoke.
1/3 – Slight pepper notes, medium nutty almost cashew notes with mild sweet wood notes. The Ash is holding well. Draw is perfect. I like the overall flavor of this cigar For a mild to medium cigar.
Rating for 1/3 = 7
2/3 Nuttiness continues with undertone of sweet wood flavor. The crack moved into the binder but I was able to smoke through it with a little touchup. I am enjoying the flavor of this cigar.
Rating for 2/3 = 7
3/3 The flavors remain consistent with the sweet wood becoming prominent near the end, the burn remained fine to about a 1” nub.
Rating for 3/3 = 7
Overall a 7 on your scale. – An enjoyable smoke, nutty and sweet wood with just a hint of black pepper throughout the cigar, I’d add these to my humidor at the right price that is if they’re not already there….:-).
Thanks

Cigar #9 is a robusto which seems to have a Colorado Maduro wrapper. It seems to be well made and is heavy in feel. It smells pretty good as well. It clipped easily and has an easy pre-light draw. It lit easily and produced plumes of pleasant smelling smoke.
First 1/3: The first third of the cigar is burning well and keeping pretty even. The ash is a bit flaky but is holding for at least an inch now. I am getting some flavors of wood and a little sweetness. It seems to be a medium-bodied cigar. The first third burned without ashing and is tasting nice. Grade for the first 1/3 is 7.
Middle 1/3: The ash fell 2.5 inches into the cigar. The flavor has changed a bit to add some spice and pepper to the party but the sweetness has disappeared. The burn is remaining even. Grade for the middle is a 6.5.
Final 1/3: Unfortunately the cigar went out on me once going into the final third. Re-light was no problem and the cigar seems to be burning well again. The final third has some nice spice to it. Grade for the final 1/3 is a 6.5.
Overall it was an enjoyable cigar. Seems to me like it could use a bit more aging but I would definately smoke it again. My final grade for this cigar is 6.75.

This cigar came at the right time for the Bull. After a long day at work, I snmoked # p at the leaf and was impressed with the overall apperance of the cigar. It cut very nicely and held a nice firm ash for almost 1/2 of the smoke. I picked up heavy pepper!! Yum Yum My favorite.
The first 1/3 8
The 2/3 8
The Final portion 8.5
Overall I would give this an 8.5. I really hated to put this one down and the next cigar that I smoked was a let down after smoking this one!!! I hope this turns out to be a cigar in the Bull's price range, because I liked it very much!!!

I noticed the wrapper was not oily or dry. The cigar appeared well constructed and it was easy to punch after I wet the cap. I did notice the aroma of the wrapper (reminded me of a habano wrapper), but that’s only after a random guy wanted to smell the cigar prior to me smoking it. I smoked this cigar after having dinner and I did have bottled water towards the end of the cigar. Also, the cigar was firm.
I would rate this cigar a 6. After I lit the cigar, I noticed as slight harshness, but that died down after a few minutes. The aroma was very strong & pleasant, and the ash was firm and white. I noticed the cigar had a lot of white smoke. The cigar started to mellow out, but still had a strong taste to it.
I would rate the cigar a 7. The cigar maintained is consistency from the First 1/3 of the cigar. Also, about half the cigar was the ash as it did not fall off. I didn’t taste any harshness that I tasted earlier when I lit the cigar. I couldn’t pick out any particular tastes though.
I would rate the cigar a 6. The cigar remained consistent and started getting hot towards the end. The ash was still white and very strong and did not fall off the cigar until I was closer to the end of the cigar. Some of the harshness from the beginning of the cigar came back, but the cigar was still mellow / not over powering for me to enjoy. I smoked the cigar to the nub, and really wish I had a toro size of this particular cigar.
I would rate this cigar a 6.5. The cigar maintained its consistency throughout and was enjoyable. I would buy this cigar in toro size just to see if I really would enjoy the cigar. The cigar was very firm, had a white ash that held up in slight NYC wind. There was a pleasant aroma after I started smoking. I would recommend this cigar to other cigar smokers.

Cigar 9
This cigar is a bit veiny, however very nice construction. A very deep and rich
color to the wrapper. The cap was clipped and the pre-light draw was excellent.
The cigar fired up very easily and I was off and running. The ash is almost pure
white and very tight to the cigar. Very nice...
1/3: The first part of this cigar was very easy to light, however it began to
canoe right away. Very bland in the flavor category, not picking up too many
qualities other than roasted nuts...a 5 rating fits best here due to the
construction and burn, flavor would be a 3.9...
2/3: The second third is much of the same. The burn and ash are perfect, the
flavor is much of the same. The aroma that comes off the stick is mediocre and
would not be a bad golf course cigar, if it was the last one in the
humi...4.5...

Blind cigar #9 review
Cigar #9 is a robusto with a medium brown wrapper The cigar has light veins and is pretty oily. Cutting the cigar was easy and the cigar was evenly firm. The draw was perfect.
First third:
The cigar started out light to medium bodied. The ash is firm and light gray. The burn is excellent. The cigar is quite complex, to the point that I have a hard time distinguishing the flavors. I do pick up some sweet woodiness and floral notes. It has a pleasant room aroma.
First third score: 7.5
Second third:
The woodiness is even more prominent. The burn remains excellent. I wish I could describe the flavors better.
Second third score: 7.5
Last third:
The flavors are remaining the same, but its getting a little bitter. The cigar has behaved perfectly the whole time
Third third score: 7.0
Overall:
This cigar is a very unique experience. I think I may have enjoyed this smoke a little more if I'd had it in the morning. I had it mid afternoon and was probably wanting a bit more strength. It was very interesting and I can see myself smoking it again, but it something I'd have to be in the mood for.
Overall Score: 7.3
Shot in the dark: Avo
Wideboy
Appearance: This was a decent looking cigar with no soft spots or construction issues. There was a single vein that was fairly evident, but other than that a good looking stick
There was a nice prelight odor of cedar and hay/grass.
Clipped easily with the Palio.
The Prelight draw was good, just a bit of resistance, and there a a very distinct hay taste with just a touch of pepper.
lit easily with plenty of smoke.
1st 3rd: nice burn with a clean white/grey ash. Plenty of smoke and a nice draw. the flavors were of grass and hay with just a bit of wood. The burn stayed very nice .
2nd 3rd: Flavor stayed the same not much changed. Good burn and smoke
Last 3rd: Flavor intensifies with some added nuttiness and again the hay was there with a little more wood flavor. A slight touch of caramel sweet. Burn and smoke was perfect to the end.
Overall: This was a very smooth and consistent smoke. It burned well and had great amounts of smoke. I was just hoping for more flavor. the end of the cigar started to come on, but still wanted more.
Score: 6
Angry Bill
First third had a nice white and black pepper flavors, as well as the roasted coffee. HInts of almonds and a light grassy flavor were present. I rate this one as a solid 8 in this third.
Second third still kept the great pepper flavors, but added a creaminess to the almonds and coffee. Lots of smoke still kept coming through. I rate this one as a solid 8.
Final third kept up with the same great flavors. This one is definitely a nice medium to full cigar with great complex flavors. I enjoyed this one down to the nub. No hints of nicotine came through. I rate this third as a 9.
Overall, this cigar was really enjoyable. Great flavors, well made, lots of great smoke and a nice ash. I would rate this one a 8.9.
Thanks David.

one long and very noticeable vein running the full length of the cigar. Beautiful color. Clipped very easily. Initial draw is deliberate.
First 1/3rd-5. Smokey, and PEPPERY. There is an inital blast of spice that is overwhelming and has my mouth salivating. About 3/4 of an inch in, the spice calms down. Ash is very crumbly at this point. It's falling off every time I sit the cigar down to type.
Middle 1/3rd 6. The peppery flavor is much more subdued at this point. There does appear to be a good amount of nicotine in here, or else I just really need to eat! Burn gets a little uneven right at the halfway mark-but it's not an issue at this point. Ashed all over my keyboard once.
Final 1/3rd 4. I'm really not picking up many flavors at this point, seems almost muted.
4. Quality was good, ash was weak. This could be a very messy cigar if you aren't overly careful. The flavor profile fell a bit flat on me, so I can't see making an effort to get another one of these.
Well folks, the Inaugural CO Blind Review is nearing its completion. I hope everyone has enjoyed this little adventure as much as I have

1495s have been all over the place for me. I was blinded one a few months back (don't remember if it was Warren or Ben) and I would have a swore it was an Opus X. So to have one I thought was light and Avo-ish is quite a surprise. Either I'm schizo or the cigar is. :p

Yeah.... I know the answer. :)
I have actually been smoking all the cigars from the reviews with you guys, not always on time though, but hey, I don't have to! I hadn't had a 1495 in well over a year and it was different than I remembered actually.
