Going to be a wedding gift. I've decided on the brand, and order of pref:
Havana Collection
Trezo
Element
Axia
Any comments on any of these, good, bad or indifferent will be appreciated.

Something I just learned yesterday about Xikars-
While clipping the cigar, you should apply light pressure towards the cutter (in the motion of pushing the cigar THROUGH the cutter, but don't actually give it enough to do that) and make sure you don't pull the cutter away until it has fully clipped the cap. I, personally, let me Xikar fall to the side when I was given a Palio and started to notice how bad the ridge from the Xikar was. However I have been told that the light amount of pressure will give you the straightest cut around.
Wait, are you talking lighters?

Nice call Justin, I do like smart-assedness!! I'll go w/the HAVANA Collection LIGHTER. I think the ELEMENT ad. would read..."Got a new baby boy, cant find a Mohel, get the Xikar ELEMENT (of surprise), and make him a man"!

I have the Havana colection lighter and love it. But I do like my Palio better than my xikar but if I could afford or even justify buying the Havana colection cutter I would.
i use my FREE Tatuaje cutter, as it cuts just the right amount...sorry no experience with the lighter side of this.

HAH! See, I didn't make my post out of smart-assedness. And it seems I'm not the only one who thinks of cutters first with the Xikar name. I don't think the names of the lighters quite made it click with us...at least not very quickly.

lighters!!!
Why are you using a lighter to cut your cigar? You should try one of the Xikar cutters, or a Palio.

I've got 2 Xikar lighters; an EX (which the Havana is but mine is in gunmetal & a LOT cheaper) and the Axia.
While the flame/torch thing seemed nice in the EX, it's not a true torch so I found I was actually burning my foot more than lighting it. OUCH!
But seriously, the Axia is awesome. I love it. A dual torch with a fuel window, compact, slim size & gives a perfect light each time.
The Havana looks cool but the high price & the flame instead of torch turns me away.
