Alec Bradley Tempest
Country: Honduras
Length/Ring: 5 1/2 x 42
Shape: Corona
Wrapper: Natural
Strength: Full

Pre-smoke

Scent of Wrapper: Smells like coffee, rich and peppery.

Scent at Foot: Slight scent of leather and pepper, almost sneezed.

Appearance: Very nice looking cigar. Had a small vein on one side and I think this is something you will notice on any cigar with this type of wrapper. The color was consistent and very clean. I liked the look and feel of this size and the appearance was exceptional.

Wrapper: A small vein, looks like a piece of chocolate. No blemishes and noticed the cap was a triple cap.

Feel: Tightly rolled and firm.

Tongue: Leather and earthy taste.

Flavor on Draw: Not any tingle on draw but did noticed hints of coffee.

Smoke

Taste : Leathery and Nutty

Flavor Changes: The first 1/2 of the cigar was full of Pepper, Leather and Spice. As I entered the second 1/2 picked up some Nutty flavors and the Spice mellowed into it very nice.

Strength: The first half was medium and it intensified after the ½ way mark. Picked up to a full flavor with lots of coffee, leather and spice. The spices intensified with no problems of heat or harshness during the finish.

Feeling: I would recommend all to try. This is going to be on my rotation for sure. If you want a cigar that gives you many different flavors and spices, this is the one you need to try.

Scent of Smoke: Not good at telling what the scent was during this smoke. My wife tells me it smells like my coffee brewing but with a Smokey smell.

Heat on Fingers and in Mouth: No heat on figures or mouth. Burns cool throughout the whole smoke.

Draw: The draw was perfect with a very slight restricted draw. Perfect and what I expect in a premium cigar.

Finish: There was an after taste of coffee and that pair very well with my morning cup of Joe.

Other Aspects of the Cigar Smoking Experience: I really enjoy this cigar as I stated it will be in my rotation as a early morning smoke. It pairs well with coffee, and will check it next time with an evening glass of rum no ice.

Make any notes beyond what you noted already: I would highly recommend this cigar as it will not let you down. Compared to the other AB Blends this one takes the ribbon. It’s a very relaxing and complex smoke that will sure have your senses on their toes.

I rate this as an “Excellent Cigar” and if you have yet to give this cigar a try you should.

When I was in SC the shop I was in had every Vitola and I saw so much other stuff I wanted I just skipped them. I had one in my hand for a while but just ended up putting it back.
