Note that many here are sitting on the fence: their presence here is not an indication of leaving CL, but rather a desire to keep their options open if they don't like puff. AFAIK, only a handful have severed ties, and I know of only one person who has had their ties publicly severed by Stogie.

Bruce I am glad you singed up, but I want to make one thing clear. This is not CigarSnobs. As much as I dislike Daniel, I am equally as disgusted with the way CL members (and Club Stogie for that matter) were/are characterized on Cigar Snobs. So just keep that in mind. You are most certainly welcome here, but know that I was a CL member who knows what has been said at snobs and I'm not thrilled with any of you guys.

I expect some of them to sign-up sooner or later. In what was an invite-only board (until the link was posted on CL), there are already 25 zero-posters out of 140 or so sign-ups. One can see who is online here without signing up, so there is that as well.

I suspect that most do not know that attacks on CL elsewhere have resulted in repercussions. (For those that are wondering WTF I'm talking about, I suggest reading the threads on the purchase, etc., on cigarpass.)

I was gonna say some stuff but honestly mitro said exactly what I wanted the only thing I want to add is to call us spies cause we moderate for daniel is absurd the reason I joined here is cause a lot of my friends are here and that's the reason I'm on the forums to begin with. Also like I said in my first post another reason I'm here is to support mike I may not always agree with him but I feel his heart is in the right place on this.

I'm only saying how I "got it". I can't say what I did that caused Daniel to scramble my account since he wasn't man enough to face me with it, but I suspect it was that I associated with CigarSarge and Ashauler. Hence, my warning. You don't have to do anything on CL to get banned or sort of banned. I also heard that he recently scrambled anyone that has an account on CigarPass, but I suspect that is exaggerated.

I've never had any beefs with Stogie or the Mods on Live. But if we were cast out from Live it would be a real shame. Many of use have frequented other boards in the past and will continue to now. What have we come to that we cannot enjoy freedom of expression and thought? Casting us out for registering on another board would be seen as a negative act by BOTL's everywhere. This is still the USA and we are (and we have men fighting for us to keep it this way - that we hopefully send lots of cigars to) free to choose.

As far as I can tell, it isn't registering on another board that gets the yank; it is either trashing CL on another board; or presumed to be joining CL solely to do some trashing. Note that I use "trashing" in the previous sentence without a determination of justification to trash.

For example, people have made many comments about CL/Puff; one user and his posts disappeared because, I assume, it was presumed that the person joined CL to post solely to raise sh*t. Similarly, I assume that Forgop was banned not for his thoughts; but for the way he expressed them.

That's my take on it, anyhow.

The TYPE of ban is also relevant. I got the password scramble which looks benign to the members, like I just quit reading the board. He didn't have to account for that one. Its quite possible he doesn't share those with the mods, though I wouldn't know.
